Karla Ely is a contemporary glass artist based in the Southwestern desert of the U.S., She has maintained her studio practice for over thirty years. Her work explores the interplay between light, color, and organic form.
Her pieces have been exhibited in both Nevada and California, and are held in numerous private collections.

"Glass is the most honest of materials — it hides nothing. Every gesture, every breath is preserved forever in its surface. My work is an attempt to capture those fleeting moments where light and matter become inseparable."
